Latticework purse - embroidery complete!
120 hrs 50 min later, here's the complete embroidered rectangle that will become a purse sometime soon. There are 545 (count 'em!) eyelets. Also included in the picture is a sample for the suspension loop. The side-stitching will be worked in the crimson color as well. Looking forward to seeing this finished!

What kind of silk do you use?

Maria, the silk is from DeVere Yarns. I've been using the 1200 denier yarn, which I've found to be great for the 40-ct linen I'm using: good coverage of the fabric, but not so bulky as to make life difficult.
This is great work, and I wonder, how this red and yellow band in the upper right corner of the picture was made. Is there any documentation about that?
